The grand celebration of storytelling excellence in the Indian streaming realm took centre stage at the Filmfare OTT Awards held on Sunday. A night filled with splendour and glamour saw acclaimed actors Alia Bhatt, Manoj Bajpayee, Rajkummar Rao, and Karishma Tanna claiming top honours for their exceptional performances. Alia Bhatt’s Netflix debut, “Darlings,” earned her the prestigious title of Best Actor, Web Original Film (Female), while Manoj Bajpayee’s compelling portrayal in the legal drama Manoj Bajpayee’s compelling performance in “Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai” earned him the esteemed Best Actor, Web Original Film (Male) award.
The winners’ list featured standout contributions from the web series “Kohrra” and “Scoop,” as well as films like “Monica,” “O My Darling,” and “Gulmohar.” However, it was Vikramaditya Motwane’s “Jubilee” that stood out as a powerhouse, clinching over 5 awards across various categories, including Cinematography, Sound Design, and VFX.
Other notable winners included Suvinder Vicky, honoured as the Best Actor, Series (Male): Drama for his role in the Netflix series “Kohrra,” and actress Rajshri Deshpande, who triumphed in the Best Actor, Series (Female): Drama category for her portrayal of Neelam Krishnamoorthy in “Trial By Fire.”

Sonakshi Sinha’s exceptional portrayal in the crime drama and Karishma Tanna’s captivating performance in Hansal Mehta’s “Scoop,” based on the life of former crime reporter Jigna Vora, were duly recognized and celebrated.
